playing with words

you'd do good to laugh at things sometimes. be it, some random phrase created by your friends like "niu gong hup gali whoop" or the sight of your friend digging his nose with a pen in his class, only to immediately after, put it into his mou..... okok. lets leave the details out shall we?

but seriously we should let loose and laugh sometimes. even though taufik batista's smile on the 7 eleven advert sends chills down your spine, or the woman, who forgot to buy ice gives an over-drama expression when she is magically transported in front of a counter girl in the 24 hour convenience store, just smile abit!

i really wanted to take a pic of this, but its weird to see a boy in uniform, standing on an over head bridge with his phone taking a pic. but everyday when i cross the overhead bridge towards my tuition, i cant help but smile at the lighted sign that says "HOUGANG DE SAUNA". nope, hougang or saunas are not funny, but what really bemuses me is that the lighted neon sign is kinda broken, and the hou is missing. so when u look at it at night. it leaves you thinking " who would wanna to go to a place like : GANG DE SAUNA. lol! like sriously man.

just 2 days ago, i was crossing an over head bridge home (yeah, weird stuff happen to me on bridges. i was looking down onto the vehicles, cause i have a tendency to do that, and no, its not weird. and an incarnadine bus caught my eye. its like those coach like the chao yan kuai che. those which bring you to nearby countries, with the boys in the adverts looking happy cause theres somein built games inside the bus. you know?

i soooo wanted to take a pic, but it was moving pretty fast, and yeaah, there were some people on the bridge......

haha. the bus' has the branding in Bright yellow on its side.

its name was Delemah.

some may not get it. but it seriously shouldnt be what a coach brand is called. delemah??? like seriosly!? i cant think out a slogan for it which doesnt make it sound like a bad thing

"im in a delemah, ARE YOU?"

like seriously, what were the brand makers thinking!? im confused ahaha. sorry, gimme sometime to appreciate my own dry humour. but words have become so important now, that unlike last time, china manufacturers should be thinking of what to name their infinite number of products. its like they just mash up a few words to maker it sound like another brand.

anyone heard of addidas? anyone saw a pair of slippers branded asadi? hmmm....

i have a few shes with the brand erke

i dunno if it shoul be pronounced like the brand nike

like ERR-key

or the "im disgusted" tone

like Urgh....

wow. we should seriously rethink brandnames. even simple stuff will do for goodness sake. body shop is simple and sweet. so is burgerking. it just doesnt allow criticism. lik breadtalk. how many gazillion times have i heard the kopitiam joke. i personally think that breadtalk is a cool name, its just sad that we live in a dilect based society, and any word you make up, may sound like a vulgarity in you hokkien speaking uncle's ears.

ill make up one now. erm

lou congheiyang

youd never know, i might get a bad flaming from a hokkien passerby tommorrow
